A bit of news to report as we get ready for the African championships in Libya next month.
The NBBF has named former NBA player,coach and mentor John Lucas as the new head coach of D'Tigers. Lucas coached at San Antonio, Philadelphia and Cleveland after a playing career in Houston, Golden State, Washington, Cleveland and San Antonio and now works with NBA, college and high school players in Houston.
Lucas will try to get Hakeem Olajuwon more involved with the team.
New NBBF president Tijjani Umar answers a variety of questions and discusses some of the issues with D'Tigers in preparation for the African Championships.
The NBBF has released the list of the 26 players called up for the national team camp in Houston.
