The 2009 NBA draft has is over and a few African players heard their names called yesterday. The list:
Hasheem Thabeet- The big man from Tanzania was the 2nd overall pick by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Christian Eyenga-The swingman from D.R. Congo was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 30th pick in the 1st round.
Chinemelu Elonu-The former Texas A&M forward/center was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 29th pick in the 2nd round of the draft.
We'll keep you updated on the free agent signings of other players as the summer months go on.
