Black Stars of Ghana captain Stephen Appiah is in North London this week training with Tottenham Hotspur with a view to signing a contract with the side. The former Udinese, Juventus and Fenerbahce midfielder has been out of club football since August when he ended his deal with Fener. Very few Premiership managers scout and work with African players better than Harry Redknapp and one would assume Sulley Muntari put in a good word to both parties about the other. Hopefully Appiah and Tottenham can seal the deal before the end of the January transfer window.
